QuitNet is a large support forum for quitters. A handful of features can be accessed by non-members, and a few more are available if you sign up for the free membership. A “premium” membership (read, ‘paid’) is required to get access to all of the features, such as ‘expert advice,’ the FAQ, and the forums.
The site appears to be very well established, so if this appeals to you, check it out – at least at the free level.

Quitnet is a great site, but the “premium” features are something i am a little bit uncomfortable with. “Pay Us Money To Quit Smoking!” does not sit right with me..
Anyway an alternative (and better in my opinion) option is http://quitza.com.
More features than Quitnet, totally free, and is much easier to navigate. The only downside of it is that it’s still quite new so Quitnet has more active users. But there are still plenty of active people on Quitza contributing to discussions.
Anyway – just my two cents
Quitnet is the only smoking cessation program offered through my insurance (Humana). It includes the bulletin boards, the canned emails and texts, telephone coaching sessions, and nicotine replacement gum, patches, or lozenges.
Using this service has been unspeakably frustrating at every turn. Calls disconnected, coaches failing to keep appointments, the wrong dosage of nicotine replacement gum, inability to answer simple questions, refusal to resolve issues. Literally every contact with Qiitnet has been handled poorly.
If I’m successful in my efforts to quit smoking, it will not be because of Quitnet; it will be despite them.
If I were the slightest bit conspiracy minded, I’d suspect that Quitnet is a fron for the tobacco companies. It’s that bad.
I am currently a full week quit and could not have done it without Quitnet. I just use the free version but the people there are so supportive and the ruless and tips they give you set you up for success. I could not and would not be able to do it without them. I quit cold turkey and by day 3 I was loosing my mind. I miraculously found quitnet and is has become 10000 times easier.
Highly suggest…the free version is awesome.
Quitnet was great before a 2015 remake and change of ownership. The new ownership are NRT (patches and gum) pushers and really don’t seem to care much about the site itself anymore. Hostile PSTD members now bully the old timers into quitting and so the site has lost a lot of its senior membership and experience. If you go to Quitnet make sure for your safety that you are totally anonymous and untraceable. Quitnet will not discipline or ban these members so you are on your own to defend yourself. Quitnets’ real mission and profit comes from selling their services to employers who try to force you into quitting. Quitnet is where you get tossed lest your company levy huge fines on your for not quitting. There are far better sites on the internet if your mission is to quit smoking (and it should be if you haven’t). Sites where people want to be there instead of being forced to be there. Keep looking.
